"Scud" began playing at the age of seven and has also represented Australia U/19s, South Australia and Lancashire.
Skipper of the present squad, he does not bowl anymore because of a bad back.
His career highlights with Italy include an unbeaten 84 against Netherlands in the ICC European Division 1 Championship 2008 to win by eight runs.

Took 3-44 against Denmark in the ICC European Championship Division One 2006.
Against Fiji in ICC World Cricket League Division Three 2007, he was one of the top-scorers with 29 as Italy won by 37 runs.

Began playing at the age of eight and has represented Western Province Academy and Boland Academy.
His favourite player is Neil McKenzie from South Africa for his gutsy approach to the game.
He is an engineer by profession and enjoys jazz music.

Nicknamed "Big V", he has played for South Africa U/19s and Provincial U/19s.
When playing for the South Africa U/19s in the ICC U/19 World Cup 2004, he picked 3-41 against India to deny them a victory by three runs.
He has a full-time career as a representative of a printing group.
