Introduction to cricket in Estonian schools is helping to create a pre-tournament buzz.

With just three countries participating, this year’s ICC Europe Division 3 Twenty20 tournament will comprise a double round-robin involving hosts Estonia, Bulgaria and Slovenia.

Hosts Estonia booked their place in the Division 2 tournament in Corfu in September with a 24-run win over Slovenia on Friday, with the Slovenians looking set for second place after beating Bulgaria.

Slovenia posted the highest total of the tournament on Saturday, but Bulgaria's batsmen gave a good account of themselves in reply.

An opening stand of 112 between Matthew Stewart and Danail Trenev set up a surprise eight-wicket victory for Bulgaria after a much-improved performance in the field.

The ICC European Division 3 tournament was a triumph both on and off the field for hosts Estonia, who topped the group ahead of Slovenia and Bulgaria.
