The first international visitors were the Australians in 1932, playing twice against Toronto CC and once against Eastern Canada at the venue. Canada's first first-class match was played here, against the MCC in 1951. Other international visitors over the years include Pakistan, the Netherlands and the USA. In 1975 Eastern Canada gained an upset win over Australia. In 1973 Ireland's Ivan Anderson scored an unbeaten 198 against Canada at the venue which remained the highest individual score for Ireland until 2007. The ground was used during the 2001 ICC Trophy, and the final and 3rd place play-offs were held here. The ground has been home to ODI cricket since 1996, when India and Pakistan met in what was to become a regular series of matches over the next few years.
