1879 First reference to cricket in Botswana.
1992 Namibia tour Botswana for two internationals, winning both.
1998 Botswana play in the ACA Championship, losing all their first round matches.
2001 Botswana become an affiliate member of the ICC.
2002 In the Africa Cup, Botswana finish as runners-up to a South Africa development XI.
2004 Botswana are runners-up to South African Country Districts in the African affiliates championship, qualifying for the associates championship in which they finish fourth.
2005 Botswana become an associate member of the ICC.
2006 Botswana finish second in Division 2 of the African World Cricket League tournament.
2008 Botswana finish sixth in Division 5 of the World Cricket League.
Botswana win Division 2 of the African World Cricket League tournament.
2009 Botswana finish fifth in Division Six of the World Cricket League in Singapore and are relegated to Division Seven.
2011 Botswana host Division Seven of the World Cricket League, finishing third.
Botswana finish third in Division Two of the African Twenty20 Championship in South Africa.
