A Timeline of Jersey Cricket

1813 Jersey's first recorded international sees them beat a combined Guernsey/Alderney XI by an innings.
1870 First cricket club is formed.
1924 Jersey beat the MCC by 8 runs.
1957 First inter-insular match against Guernsey is played. The match finishes in a draw.
1960 After three consecutive draws, Jersey are the first to win the inter-insular outright.
1964 Jersey win the inter-insular for the second time.
1974 Guernsey beat Jersey to win the inter-insular. Jersey had held it from 1964, with matches since then either being draws or wins for Jersey.
1978 Jersey win the inter-insular back.
1992 Jersey win the inter-insular, and win for the next nine years also.
2005 Jersey become an affiliate member of the ICC.
2006 Jersey take part in Division Two of the European Championships. They lose to Norway in the final, but still qualify for Division Five of the World Cricket League.
2007 Jersey win a three match series against Italy. The results in the series mean that they are eligible to apply for associate membership of the ICC, which they achieve later in the year.
After five consecutive wins for Guernsey, Jersey win the 50th anniversary inter-insular match by 4 runs in front of a crowd of 1,000.
The first inter-insular Twenty20 match is played, Jersey losing by 5 wickets.
