A Timeline of Kuwait Cricket

1947 Expatriates working for the Kuwait Oil Company introduce cricket to Kuwait.
1948 The Magwa Cricket Club, later the Kuwait Cricket Club, is formed.
1964 New Zealand Colts tour Kuwait.
1978 Air India tour Kuwait.
1996 Kuwait Cricket Association formed.
1998 Kuwait become an affiliate member of the ICC.
1999 Kuwait tour Pakistan.
2000 Kuwait take part in their first ACC Trophy in the UAE. They finish third our of four teams in their first round group, their only win coming against Singapore.
2002 Kuwait finish third out of five teams in their first round group at the ACC Trophy in Singapore, beating Oman and Qatar.
2004 Kuwait host the Middle East Cup. They enter two teams, who finish fifth and sixth in the six team tournament.
Kuwait finish third in the ACC Trophy in Singapore.
2005 Kuwait become an associate member of the ICC.
Kuwait finish sixth in the World Cup Qualifying series tournament in Malaysia.
2006 Kuwait host the Middle East Cup and finish third.
Kuwait finish third out of five teams in their first round group at the ACC Trophy in Malaysia, beating Bhutan and Myanmar.
2007 Kuwait host the first ACC Twenty20 Cup and finish third.
2008 Kuwait finish eighth out of ten teams at the ACC Trophy in Malaysia.
2009 Kuwait's women make their international debut, finish twelfth and last at the ACC Twenty20 Cup in Malaysia.
Kuwait finish fourth at the ACC Twenty20 Cup in the UAE.
2010 Kuwait host the ACC Trophy Elite division and finish seventh out of ten teams.
Kuwait host and win Division Eight of the World Cricket League.
2011 Kuwait host the ACC Women's Twenty20 Cup and finish seventh out of ten teams.
Kuwait win Division Seven of the World Cricket League in Botswana, beating Nigeria in the final and gaining promotion to Division Six.
Kuwait finish third in Division Six of the World Cricket League in Malaysia.
