A Timeline of Vanuatu Cricket

1945 First club formed in Vanuatu, then the New Hebrides.
1977 First international for the New Hebrides, against Fiji.
1978 New Hebrides Cricket Association formed.
1979 New Hebrides cricket team take part in the South Pacific Games cricket tournament, winning the silver medal.
1980 The New Hebrides gain independence as Vanuatu, the Cricket Association changing its name accordingly.
1995 Vanuatu become an affiliate member of the ICC.
2001 Vanuatu finish seventh in the Pacifica Championship.
2002 Vanuatu finish sixth in the Pacifica Championship.
2003 Vanuatu finish fifth in the cricket tournament at the South Pacific Games.
2005 The East Asia Pacific Cup is hosted in Vanuatu, with the host nation finishing third.
2007 Vanuatu tour Fiji, losing all three one-day matches against the national side.
Vanuatu Under-19s are runners-up in the EAP Under-19 Championship.
Vanuatu finish second to Japan in the EAP Trophy, qualifying for Division 5 of the World Cricket League.
2008 Vanuatu finish 12th and last in Division 5 of the World Cricket League.
2009 Vanuatu become an associate member of the ICC.
Fiji tour Vanuatu , playing a three-match one-day series against the hosts. Vanuatu win the series 2-1.
Vanuatu take part in the East Asia-Pacific Trophy in Samoa. They finish fifth in the Twenty20 tournament and win Division Two of the one-day tournament.
2010 Vanuatu finish third in Division Eight of the World Cricket League in Kuwait.
2011 Vanuatu are runners-up to hosts Papua New Guinea in the EAP Twenty20 Championship.
Vanuatu win the bronze medal at the Pacific Games cricket tournament.
