History Known as Fraser he in his youth played in Scotland Under 16 and Under 19 teams, in each case for three years, including the 1997 International Youth Tournament in Bermuda and the 1998 Under 19 World Cup in South Africa.
He had considerable experience with the Loughborough U.C.C.E. side and has wintered in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, in an effort to develop his game. Captained the Under 23 side which won the 2003 European Championship and was named Player of the Tournament.
He played in the Inter-Continental Cup 2004, scoring back to back hundreds against Ireland and Kenya. One of the hardest working players in the squad whose game has matured considerably over the past year.
A member of the winning ICC Trophy Squad in 2005.
