This is the first visit made to Scotland by the All England XI. Two Grange members,
W Moncrieff and HJ Wylie, had assisted a Northumberland XI v an  All England XI and this
probably led to the game being arranged by Grange.
C Lawrence, later to be prominent in Irish and Australian cricket, took all 10 wickets in the
All England second innings. This is the first known case in Scotland
