Most of the guys are pretty good mates, but as I spend most of my time in England, it would have to be Ashley Giles Scottish Cricket

Ryan Watson … he proves you don't need to be an athlete to play good cricket!!!

The Arns, Clackmannan CCC … it's where it all started … MANY THANKS!

What do you think of overseas professionals in Scottish club cricket?
Its very important for the development of all Scottish players to compete against players who; are more talented, bowl quicker, spin it more or are more experienced than them … succeeding against adversity is the best way to learn!

Do you think bowlers should be restricted in domestic cricket?
No

What are your main complaints about Scottish cricket?
The cold!!! Also, there are too many people who complain!

How would you set about improving the standard of Scottish cricket?
Scottish Cricket is in an extremely good bill of health. The game needs to be allowed to develop at International level, One Day status would be great, but more importantly, the game needs to be encouraged at grass roots level, both in clubs but more importantly as part of the school curriculum … this takes money, so bring on the sponsorship

How would you set about making Scottish cricket more popular?
The game needs to be made a bit sexier than it is … what about Twenty20 naked competition … failing that, encourage the game to be played in schools!

International Cricket

Which Test team, if any, do you support, and why?
England … If they are doing well, then the game as a whole in the UK is stronger. Just look at the 2005 Ashes series, it had kids playing in the playground in inner city Glasgow!

Which overseas countries have you played cricket in?
Most of them!

New Zealand or South Africa … do yourself a favour, and go find out for yourself!

Allan Donald, awesome performer but more importantly, an awesome bloke
