Who is your favourite Scottish cricketer (past and present), and why?
Past cricketers are Bruce Patterson & Willie Morton who are both still class acts & both of them have plenty to give back to the game hopefully in the near future. Current cricketer has to be the affable Paul Hoffmann for his great temperament & laid back style to the game.

Honestly believe Omer Hussain has the potential to reach the highest level & perform if he believes he can do it.
What do you think of overseas professionals in Scottish club cricket?
Breath of fresh air if they aid the development of the young players & even the older players by having one to one sessions with them. Players should also seek their vast knowledge & expertise when playing or against them. You also make lifetime friends. As a player I loved the challenge of facing people like Yasir Arafat, Waqas Ahmed, Zed Ahmed etc but also bowling to the likes of Floyd Reifer, Atif Rauf, Sajid Ali etc.
Do you think bowlers should be restricted in domestic cricket?
Most definitely as teams gone by relied way too heavily on their pros, overseas amateur & a Scotland player to get them out of trouble, whereas now very good young bowlers are being unearthed due to them getting more chances.
What are your main complaints about Scottish cricket?
Starting the season in April when the weather is still freezing.Poor pitches due to a lack of preparation.
How would you set about improving the standard of Scottish cricket?
Invest in better indoor & outdoor facilities. Better use should be made of September when the weather is usually excellent.
How would you set about making Scottish cricket more popular?
Got to start with the schools & change the perception about cricket being only for the posh kids. Also show that there is a chance of making a financially secure career in it in Scotland instead of having to move to England because a lot of talented people have given up on cricket in the past because they see no future in it.
Which Test team, if any, do you support, and why?
Pakistan because my parents are from there & they are also the most entertaining side in the world in my view as they have so many matchwinners in their squad.
