At Solavngsparken Glostrup played neighbouring club Svanholm in the first semifinal of the Danish Cup. The match ended up finishing late due to a few breaks for rain showers as nearly the full 80 overs were bowled. Svanholm won the toss and decided to bat first, getting off to a decent start, although Glostrup did make a breakthrough with 21 on the board when Zishan Shah was bowled. This brought Soren Vestergaard and Micky Lund together and they took the total up to 62 before Mickey was caught trying to force the pace. Soren continued to florish hitting 49 well supported by Australian John Kedey.

But both Vestergaard and Kedey fell quickly leaving Svanholm on 129 for 4. None of the following batsmen stuck around as Svanholm scrambled for runs, three batsmen being run out. But after the full 40 overs Svnaholm had 181 on the board. Henrik Hansen managed to take 3 important wickets for 27.

Glostrup didn't get off to a perfect start losing in-form Anders Rasmussen with only 7 on the board but Australian Niel Schittler dug in and ran the innings until he fell just after a rain break after scoring 57 while a few wickets fell at the other end. Glostrup were behind the clock but thankfully for them the rain showers had made the outfield very wet and Svanholm had great difficulty in drying and holding the ball giving far too many full tosses that Michael Jeppesen dispatched to the boundary. In this way Glostrup had no problem in reaching the target and winning by 3 wickets.

In the north of Jutland Aalborg and Esbjerg fought out the other semi-final. Aalborg were still licking their wounds from last week's massive defeat against Glostrup where they were bowled out for 16. Aalborgs only consolation was the fact that the lowest score in the top league was recorded in 1968, where AB were out for 12 against Skanderborg. Esbjerg batted first and were soon in trouble against Aalborg's bowling attack led by N.P. Kopperholdt. Esbjerg were 65 for 5 at one point but then the old fox Peer Jensen took over and improvised a 69 not out taking the side up to 176 for 9 in the 40 overs. Np Kopperholdt took 5 wickets for 23 in his 8 overs.

Aalborg tried to emulate the pace of Esbjerg's innings but they got bogged down by the accurate bowling of Peer Jensen and Hamad Zalman who also took 3 wickets. Only NP Kopperholdt managed to make any inroads with 27 as they were bowled out for 109.

The final between Glostrup and Esbjerg will be play on the 5th June, a public holiday, at Koge as part of the club's 75th anniverisary.
