As it has been pointed out this side has nothing much to lose as Denmark's form the past years has not been that good. In the ICC Trophy in Ireland Denmark fulfilled their target, even though they had during the year before lost all their matches, and were in fact not that far off from qualification. But since then players have stopped and there are some new faces to prove themselves in Holland. Before hand Mickey Lund and Thomas Nielsen were ruled out because of injuries. Rohit Kanayia from Glostrup has now qualfied to be a Dane so he gets his chance as an all-rounder. Rasmus Kofoed from Aalborg has had a good season and gets a new chance on the team and Gerrit Müller who plays in Northen Germany is an exciting batsman. He takes over the job vacated by Aftab Ahmed whose knees can't keep up any longer. Please note that half the Glostrup side is playing - a side that has yet to lose this year!

Frederik Klokker has had a funny season as he's playing on and off the county circuit but without a contract as yet. He might not turn up if he's called upon. Since last season he has hardly picked up a bat but has solely concentrated on his wicket-keeping. Michael Pedersen has a break from his duties with the MCC and it will be interesting to see how much progress he has made.

So as Rod Lyall pointed out a fascinating encounter is in prospect. Denmark will either shine or go down with her guns blazing.
