Elitedivision
Saturday the 24th June
Newly elected board member Ole "Stan" Mortensen travled with KB for two matches in Jutland to prove he was still able to put the ball on the spot. This he did and with his shortened runup he bowled his 10 overs for just 15 runs in the match against bottom side Aalborg. Ole didn't take any wickets but his bowling made it easier for the others and Farouq Shazzad took that advantage with 4 wickets as Aalborg were skittled out for 103. KB opened with 192 with Mohammed Farouq topscoring with 71. Last week's century maker Jacob Adams came down to earth again as he only scored 1.
Norrebro were down at Husum and their weakness was obvious today as they don't have any quality strike bowlers in form. Even though Norrebro scored 231 it was not enough as Husum went past that total after only 37 overs. Again Husum scored quickly thanks to the inform Gerrit Muller (76* off 75 balls) and his brother Hauke Muller (42 off 48 balls). Husum were during the first 10 overs going at seven runs an over. So Norrebro will have to work harder to avoid relegation action later this season while Husum are keeping up the chase with Glostrup. Glostrup are not playing this weekend as they are hosing their annual boys tournament over 2 days. Sunday has KB going to Skanderborg while Norrebro are at Esbjerg.
In the first division there were two matches today. Even though Ishoj, who are finding it very hard this year, only made 110 against Herning, they did have Herning in a lot of trouble at 37 for 6. But Herning's captain Mogens Christiansen saved the day with 35 not out and got Herning home.
Albertslund left off from last week by yet again posting a large total. This time 238 with Atif Mohammed contributing 86. Koge also left off from last week by losing wickets in the early overs and never recovering. This week they were bowled out for 133.
