Sundays' games were overshadowed by the incident at Esbjerg where Norrebro from Copenhagen were playing their second match in Jutland.
Esbjerg's captain Peer Jensen explains; "We were about nine overs in our innings when our batsman Henrik Ore was bowled. One of the umpires, who had gone over to the off side, however called no-ball as Norrebro had 3 men behind square. THis had Norrebro leave the field as they claimed that umpires cannot stand on the leg-side and besides that they felt they were being persicuted by that particular umpire. After a lot of squabberling I told Norrebro that if they didn't continue the game they would probably be thrown out of the league. The match continued after a delay of 15 minutes but we felt the umpires weren't fair to Esbjerg afterwards, probably afraid for a new incident...."

This episode will now land in the lap of the newly elected board as it will be compared to another episode which took place in a top handball match being televised and watched by a million viewers. Norrebro will certainly have learnt that an umpire can stand on boths sides of a wicket and that the umpire makes the decisions and not the fielding side. The irony of the matter is that Norrebro went and won the match beating Esbjerg by five wickets. Esbjerg were bowled out for 165 with no batsman scoring over 30 with Waqas Hafeez doing the damage with 4 for 28. Norrebro's score of 166 for 5 was also evened out amongst the batsmen while Henrik Ore took 3 for 18 with his left-arm inswingers.

KB also played their second match in Jutland and were at Skanderborg, who are finding life difficult this season. For today's game Skanderborg had convinced Andy Lambert to play. Andy is one of Denmarks most talented batsman but has found other things in life more important. If he had stuck it out he would have been now a permanent part of the Danish team taking over the role left vacant by Norrebro's Aftab Ahmed. He proved this in Sunday's game against KB by stroking 52 off 49 balls putting Skanderborg into a winning postion. Not only did he strike a couple of sixes into the neighbouring football field he also took 4 KB wickets with his left arm seamers turning the game around. Skanderborg can only hope to keep him going as they surely need his help to stay up in the Elitedivision. KB were bowled out for 156 and Skanderborg passed this losing 6 wickets in the process.

In the first division Herning played their second match in Copenhagen against Svanholm seconds and finaly got their batting together taking the Svanholm bowlers to the cleaners in a 40 over match. Out of the 257 runs Troels Thogersen hit 87 while captain Mogens Christensen made 65. Svanholm were then taken to cleaners once more as they could only manage 131.
