As work commitments, injuries and the Europe XI are in play, Denmark will field a young side in tomorrow's first game against Kenya A at Svanholm Park in Copenhagen. The side is more of an A side and there will be lack of experience but on the other hand the younger players have been given a chance to excel and surpise. Many eyes will be looking especially at Hamad Zaman from Esbjerg who had a good game against Kenya on Monday and who has impressed with his lethal in-swingers this season and Johan Malcolm of Kent will be playing in red colours for the first time this year. Johan is studying at Loughborough University and has until now been unavailable to play.

Tomorrow's team is:

Anders Rasmussen Glostrup,
Henrik Saxe Glostrup,
Davis Borchersen Glostrup,
Gerrit Muller Husum,
Hamed Zaman Esbjerg,
Niels P. Kopperholdt Aalborg CC,
Yasir Iqbal KB,
Henrik Øre Esbjerg,
Jesper Hansen Esbjerg,
Anders Leiberg Svanholm,
Billal Khan Albertslund,
Johan Malcolm Kent CCC.

On Saturday Frederick Klokker, Carsten Pedersen - Skanderborg CC, Baljit Singh - KB, Thomas Hansen - Svanholm, Zishan Shah - Svanholm and Michael Pedersen - MCC will be available to play and to bring Denmark up to strength. Kenya perhaps have had an indifferent tour so far as they have not made an enormous impression in Jutland. Esbjerg's captain Peer Jensen reports they were subject to a swinging ball on a damp pitch which was more slow than they were used to. With a weather forecast that predicts sunshine on both days Kenya will have a chance themselves to score some runs on Svanholm's good pitch.

Earlier today Frederick Klokker and Thomas Hansen played for the European XI in Rotterdam. Both had a good game as such. Thomas Hansen coming in at no. 8 was topscorer with 38 not out, but he did not make any headway as an opening bowler being hit for 29 runs off 3 overs. Frederick Klokker came in at a difficult time after Europe had lost two quick wickets thanks to Chris Cairns, and he stabilised things before being out to spinner M Baer for 15.
