The first match between Denmark and Kenya A ended in a convincing win for Denmark thanks to a good display of seam bowling from Henrik Hansen and NP Kopperholdt on a pitch that offered a little to the bowler.

Kenya won the toss and put Denmark into bat. The Danes started briskly surviving a few edges but Frederik Klokker again excelled as the firm anker at one end punishing anything short on the off side and working the ball around the field. That meant the other batsmen playing more freely, scoring runs and getting out. David Borchersen was a good example coming in and hitting three massive sixes as to keep the scoring rate up. Denmark were under pressure as soon as the Kenyans used their three spinners. Frederik scored his third century for Denmark as the Danses posted 222 in their 50 overs.

Kenya found it hard to make a mark against Denmark's seam attack led by Henrik Hansen. Kenya lost wickets in a regular fashion making it unneccessary for Denmark to use any spin. Denmark's fielding was on top too taking all the catches that were offered. Kenya have the talent to play shots so one can hope it works better for them in the second match today.
