The second meeting between Denmark and Kenya ended in a another convincing victory for the Danes with the batsmen on top this time. Although Denmark had 2 men on the injury list after fielding and keeping Kenya to a modest total of 161, they were not needed to bat as some hard hitting from Hamad Zaman made sure of a quick victory.
Kenya won the toss and decided to bat on the same pitch used as yesterday, thinking perhaps it would be flatter on the second day. However it did give some assistence to the bowlers and there was turn although slow. Only two Kenyan batsmen made a mark as such but none staying at the crease long enough to build up a substantial innings. Opener Alex Aluma was out for 37 becaming trapped lbw while Ngoche swung the bat for his 33. Denmark used spin for the first time and J malcom hansen took 3 wickets while NP Kopperholdt again picket up 3 wickets.
Frederik Klokker didn't open this time around and in a way it was a good thing as his replacement Baljit Singh was out in the second over. But Malcom Hansen showed that he's also a batsman playing an array of shots including a massive six in his 55 while Zishan Shah played second fiddle, chipping in powerful shots through the offside. The entertainment increased with the arrival of Hamad Zaman who in a short space of time smashed 4 sixes and four fours getting his fifty with the last shot of the match.
Kenya A was therefore no match for the Danes who got some vital match practice in before the European Championships in ealy August. Before that the Danes will paly 2 games against Gloucestershire's second eleven in England as the final warmup. The down side was that Henrik Hansen had to leave the filed with a groin problem and Carsten Pedersen sprained his ankel. And watching the game with crutches was leg-spinner Bobby Chawla whose heel problem has turned out to be a long term affair.
