After a short summer recess the Eliredivision got off to a start with two matches. Norrebros home match with Svanholm had to be swithced to Svanholm Park as yet again the local authorites fialed to be cooperative and open up the facilities for Norrebro. The situtaion for local sports in the Copenhagen is according to Soren Nissen reached a appalling level with lack for facilites, lack of repairs or understandning.

Even though Svanholms ground has turned brown the outfield was fast. The pitch had been well watered down so it was placid and easy to play. Therefore Svanholm were able to pile up the runs against a Norrebro side who were without their captain and off spinner Zhashad Bhatti due to suspension. All five of Svanholm's batsmen were in the runs with Mohammad Siddiq topscoring with 57 and Soren Vestergaard with 50. Soren continued the day by removing most of Norrebro's toporder batsmen as Norrebro slumped to 26 for 5 but a stand of 83 for the seventh wicket between Asef Javed (89) og Imran Khan (31) got Norrebro back into the game. Svanholm's Australien John Keedy came on with his off spin and turned it all allround by taking the last 4 wickets for 8 runs. Svanholm's victory keeps them at top of the table breathing down Husum's neck.

Sunday also saw the two bottom teams meeting for the second time. Aalborg's chances of survival leaned heavily on beating last year's champions from Skanderborg. Things looked good for them as Skanderborg batting first could only muster 134 with former Danish captian Morten Hedegaard hitting 29. Denmark's seamer NP Kopperholdt took five wickets for 20 while Soren Klitgaard was back with his slow left arm taking 3 for 18. But Aalborgs batting lineup again showed it's weakness as they could not cope with Morten Hedegaards fast bowling. Morten removed 6 Aalborg players for just 15 as they succumbed for just 59. It would have been worse if Soren Klitgaard hadn't hit 29 not out. Aalborg are now doomed for the first division unless a miracle happens (they do happen once in a while).

In the first division leaders AB met Alberslund. Albertslund have had a miserable season so far but today they suddenly shone as AB were skittled out for a mere 78. Albertslund only needed 4 wickets to pass that score and AB lost their first match of the season. No one could however come up with a reason for such a large victory. It was just one of those days.
The other match in the first division saw KB seconds play against Koge. KB had the pleasure of having Ole "Stan" Mortensen in side but it wasn't his bowling that did the damage. No it was S Munir who with 5 wickets helped to bowl Koge out for 99 in reply to KB's 144.
