While Saturday saw Leicestershire take the twenty/twenty title Dansih teams had a taste of the game too, though not voluntarily. Rain has swept the southern parts of Denmark both Saturday and Sunday causing three matches to be abandoned. Only one match were able to get the full tally of overs in.

Husum, top of the table, had two matches in Copenhagen this weekend. On Saturday Husum were at Svanholm Park facing Svanholm who are in the chase for the title. Play wasn't possible until mid-afternoon, whereas the match was reduced to the minimum 20 overs. Svanholm batted first and got themselves into trouble as 5 wickets were down for 46 after 8 overs, but Mickey Lund (49) and Max Overgaard (61*) repaired the damage with some lusty hitting underlining the depth of the Svanholm batting lineup, while Husum's fielding wasn't up to standard Svanholm had 163 on the board after 20 overs. Husum's batting is more dependt on fewer players. Lars Hedegaard opened the batting with a six and hit two more before he was well caught on the boundary for 24. After the Müller brothers were out then Husum collapsed and were all out for 93.

On the Sunday the situation was no better for Husum as KB's ground is useless in wet weather. However the match was played at Svanholm, though yet again at a reduced rate, this time down to 22 overs. Those who were able to watch the match were exposed to high entainerment from the very first ball. This form of cricket is meant only for the best players as any mistake can cost the match. It's meant for the spectator and not for the ordinary cricketer whose faults soon are exposed. KB batted first and whipped up 150 runs in the 22 overs. After 17 they had 125 but Husums Lejf Slepsager and Lars Hedegaard were kept for the end and kept the runs down. Husum were flying from the start thanks to Hauke Muller who always has been known to be a hard hitter. With four overs remaining Husum only needed 20 runs but after Hauke and brother Gerrit were given out it was up to Lars Hedegaard to win the match. Lars however was bolwed by a yorker from Farouhq Shezad going for the big hit. With just 10 needed for a win Mohammed Faroukh bowled the last over with his off spin. Husum's Renald Buss hit four 2's from the first four balls, missed the fifth and could only manage a leg bye off the last as Mohammed placed it perfectly. KB winning the match just by one run. KB were jubilant and Husum took the defeat like men should, but it is unlikley they will play this type of game voluntarily in the future. Husum's two defeats means their chances of winning the Championship are slipping away.

Glostrup, the third party in the Championship race faced Esbjerg at home on the Saturday. Again like the other matches the rain came down and play wasn't possible until mid-afternoon. A reduced match took place with 2x22 overs. Glostrup batted first and Australian Niel Schittler dominated preceedings hitting 56 out of Glostrup's 176 for 4 supported by Anders Rasmussen with 54. Esbjerg who were without three key players could only answer with 96.

On the Sunday Esbjerg were supposed to have met Norrebro on their ground but rain made it impossible to play any cricket on it so the match was soon abandoned. The same thing happened for 2 matches in the first divsion. However a full game was possible in Herning who played against Koge. Koge batted first reaching 146 in the 47 overs. A much better performance from the side from Zealand but not enough against the top side Herning who only lost one wicket in passing Koge after only 26 overs, thanks to some blistering hitting from Troels Thøgersen (89) whose 50 came off only 28 deliveries. Herningand AB now share the honours in the first division and these two teams meet next weekend.
