This last weekend had a full program of matches plus a couple more of earlier postponed fixtures. The results, all in all, decided only one thing in the Elitedivision, and that is Aalborg's departure from the top league after only one season. The first division, however, was finally decided as Herning win the division outright and gain promotion, while newcomers AB will have to play a do or die match against the second last team in the Elitedivision and that could be either Esbjerg or Skanderborg.

The Championship race goes into the final weekend with Svanholm having to play two matches and having to win both with a injury list that could match any one of the major football clubs towards the end of the season while Glostrup only have one match left. Glostrup are favourites as they have in the last couple of weekends brushed the opposition aside with no apparant difficulty, while Svanholm have had to work hard to win their last matches. Svanholm are without batsmen M. Siddiq and Mickey Lund besides losing spinner Glen Larsen on Saturday.

The other important matches are the ones that decide seventh place in the Elite division and the following do or die match against the second place side in the First division. At the moment its going to be either Esbjerg or Skanderborg who will have to face a trip to Copenhagen to face AB who have only been in the first division for one season. Skanderborg have the difficult task of facing Husum who can secure the bronze medals by beating Skanderborg while Esbjerg have perhaps the easier taks of facing Aalborg who have already been relegated from the Elitedivision. On the Sunday Svanholm have the task of facing KB in a postponed match. KB still has the chance of taking the bronze medals from Husum but it means KB has to beat both leading teams. Svanholm have to win to keep their Championship chances alive. If Glostrup and Svanholm end up with equal points then both teams will fight it out agianst each other the following weekend.

So an exciting weekend is in prospect if only the weather will hold.
