Cricket Kenya has announced that it will hold a provincial one day tournament in November. The exact format is yet to be decided, but it is thought that the tournament will feature six teams, playing in a round robin league, and in coloured clothing. Three teams will come from Nairobi, and the other three will come from Coast, Rift and Central.

The old Kenyan cricket association tried to set up a similar tournament but that fell apart due to poor administration and the refusal of teams to participate.

National team players will take part in the tournament, which will be used to help give the national selectors more of an idea of who the top Kenyan players are.
