Nairobi PCA champions Kanbis, stayed on course for their third successive league title with a home victory by 8 wickets over Nairobi Gymkhana.
Batting first Gymkhana managed just 132 in 48.2 overs with Rajesh Mepani taking two wickets for nine runs, Harish Varsani two for 24 and Jadavji Laxman two for 27. Kanbis lost only two wickets as they took just 20 overs to reach their target. Top scorer for them was Pharamenera Mepani with an unbeaten 72.
Swamibapa had no problems taking the points against Aga Khan Sports Club as they strolled home with seven wickets to spare at Parklands. Indeed, the game was over before the lunch break.
Joseph Angara spearheaded the Swamibapa attack as he claimed four wickets for just 11 runs, receiving good support from Steve Tikolo (three for 11) and Lameck Onyango (three for 20). Aga Khan could total only 72 as they were all out within half of their allotted overs, with their top scxorer being Brijal Patel with 22.
Swamibapa took 17 overs to reach their meagre target with Timothy Mwange making 23 and George Obiero 21.
