At Bristol last year in our historical win against Gloucestershire concentrating as hard as we could when you could have heard a pin drop, two Irish supporters began belting out what could only be described as their own drunken version of "Ireland's Call".It was hilarious and softened the tension. It wasn't until after the game I found out the two Tenors (or fivers as we now call them) were very close relations of mine! .

Do you think bowlers should be restricted in domestic cricket?
YES.
What are your main complaints about Irish cricket?
There needs to be alot of work and preparation put into Irish pitches. The standard of pitches at the moment prevent us as a leading Associate Nation to produce more cricketers at the highest level with both bat and ball.
How would you set about improving the standard of Irish cricket?
Having more resources available for coaching younger players for longer periods in their developing years i.e coaching camps and playing against better opposition for longer periods. Contracts for senior players to allow them more time to work on there game which I believe will take us a step closer to producing regular performances against county opposition.
How would you set about making Irish cricket more popular?
There is absolutely no point in Ireland being a success as an associate nation if no one knows we exist. We need more publicity in the media - tv, radio and newspapers, expecially in the south. We have to promote ourselves as a professional outfit or no one will come to see us play. This requires sponsorship and planning which I hope the new chief executive will provide. Just an idea...an Inter-provincial Twenty/20 competition. It would not only appeal to our devoted supporters but the general public...these games could also be televised. In turn it would generate sponsors and great publicity.
