In the First Division promoted Freuchie travel to Penicuik in what will only be the second meeting between the sides in the SNCL which was won by the home side. Aberdeenshire who narrowly missed promotion travel the relatively short distance down the coast to Arbroath. In the other fixtures Drumpellier play Forfarshire, West Lothian host Watsonians and Stenhousemuir meet Renfrew at the Tryst, which will be the first meeting between the sides.
Newly promoted Glasgow Academicals entertain SMRH in the Second Division, whilst Dumfries who finished second in the league last year open their account at Nunholm against Corstorphine. In Fife there is a local derby between Falkland and Dunfermline at Scroggie Park. This is another fixture that is always keenly contested. In the other fixtures Edinburgh Accies. travel to Stoneywood-Dyce and Prestwick meet Edinburgh at the Henry Thow Oval.
Season 2007 will see for the first time promotion play offs when the teams who finish in the First and Second Division will meet the teams who finish ninth in the Premier and First Divisions. The Bottom two teams in the Second Division are relegated with the team in tenth place meeting the winners of the Feeder League play offs.
