The eastern parts of Denmark had problems with rain on the Saturday. The main match between Glostrup and Husum had to be called off after Husum had reached 110 for 4. One of Husum's home produce Lars Femmin Boldt impressed onlookers with his fluent and technically correct batting driving anything possible with a straight bat. Husum however had to stay in the Copenhagen area and face KB on the Sunday. In the morning it was yet again raining and about 11 am Husum were about to pack and head home for Germany when the rain stopped. So a 40 overs match was possible and KB batted first. KB's total of 186 in the 40 overs seemed reasonable enough with new boy Imtiaz Ahmed heading with 33 and looked even better when Husum were 134 for 6 with the cream of the batting back in the pavillion. But Husum got nearer and KB's fielding got worse as the nerves began to tell. Husum finally nailed home victory in the last over when Jürg Krüger smashed a near 6. So Husum got their first victory of the season and KB are still without one which is surprising considering how well last season went.

Glostrup faced the upcomers AB at home and like in KB it was raining early on but stopped so a reduced match of 40 overs could be played. Surprisingly Glostrup opted of putting AB in to bat despite the wet conditions but there was an expectancy that the ball would swing in the humid air and they were right. Ole Mortensen who this season is Glostrup player-coach, demonstrated the art of bowling as in the first 17 overs AB were pinned down at 33 for 6. The 7th wicket partnership yielded however 34 runs before Glostrup broke through and mopped up the tail leaving AB with just 67 runs. David Borchersen and in form Soren Jensen both took 3 wickets while Ole Mortensen took 2 for 18 off 8 overs. Glostrup lost 3 wickets reaching AB's total with Martin Jensen holding one end up with 29*. Glostrup now are at the top with 5 victoreis in a row. Last season I predicted Glostrup would win the championship as they went unbeaten until after the holiday where they slipped up and finally lost the championship final to Svanholm. So this year I won't say anything.

The rain also ruined the Danish Cup quarterfinal between Svanholm and Albertslund as the rules were not clear enough in a rain situation. The match will have to replayed.

In the first division Skanderborg cemented their top spot by wiping AB II off the floor with a 7 wicket win after bowling AB out for 72. Ishoj and Koge managed to play a restricted match despite the weather but with Ishoj having to go for a target score winning by 6 wickets. AB II played Fredericia on the Sunday and the story was different as the bottom two met. AB managed to score a good 222 which Fredericia couldn't match being a man short due to injury. Fredericia were out for 116 and seem glued to the bottom without a win.
