Herning and Svanholm met in glorious hot summer weather in Herning as part of Svanholm's 2 match weekend in Jutland. Sunday Svanholm have to play Esbjerg who have yet to win. Herning who have lost Glostrup had to win Saturday's clash to remain in the fight for the Championship.
Svanholm won the toss and decided to bat but were soon in trouble with Mickey Lund and Australian Shaun Gannon back in the pavilion with hardly a run to their name. Zishan Shah made things worse hitting a rash shot too early in the innings and his replacement captian Thomas Hansen faced only 6 balls before edging to the keeper. Svanholm were 31 for 4 and Herning were on top. However Max Overgaard and Thomas Vestergaard set about rebuilding the innings with Max befing the force with some powerful hitting including 4 sixes. When Thomas was out caught, the pair had added 84 runs. Max continued to push the score with Mohammad Siddiq until a lapse in concentration made him hole out to opposing captain Peer Jensen for 88. Mohammad continued the work with the Svanholm tail and he was last man out (43) on the score 192.

Svanholm's score is no massive total on Herning's ground where the past week's good weather has made it unusually fast. Herning went out to play aggressively to utilize the fielding restrictions but it didn't come off and Herning themselves were 16 for 2. Denmark's Carten Pedersen stabilized the ship for a while but he himself was tucked up by a ball from Max Overgaard he was trying to pull and was easily caught and with his partner Amit Buddia demise soon after Herning had problems at 49 for 4. But like Svanholm's innings Mogens Christiansen and captain Peer Jensen stayed at the crease and added 47 before Peer Jensen picket out deep square-leg instead of mid-wicket but the momentum for Herning was kept going with Michael Frahm adding a quick 20 before being caught in the deep. Svanholm took control again when Mogens was caught trying to clear cover and with Herning 158 for 8 Svanholm looked like winning. Herning's keeper Melaad however score runs with veteran Thony Hadersland and Herning were getting close. Needing 12 runs off 15 balls Melaad was well ran out and last man Kumaran was adjudged caught behind off his first ball and the game was over, though several didn't think he was out. Svanholm won the tight and enjoyable game by 12 runs and remain unbeaten. The two top sides Svanholm and Glostrup will play each other in 14 days.

The only other game Saturday was in the first division where Albertslund had no trouble in defeating bottom side Fredericia by 10 wickets. KB's match against AB in the first division was cancelled with AB winning by default.
