On the 22 May KB and Norrebro met each in a match that ended in a cliffhanger situation with 3 balls left, the scores level and KB batting with one wicket remaining. The Norrebro bowler in his run up then sees the non-striker out of his ground and breaks the wicket. The umpire gives him out and Norrebro go berserk thinking they have a tie. However the square-leg umpire runs up to the bowling umpire who being a Pakistani has a bad knowledge of Danish. The square-leg umpire says the run out is illegal as the bowler has began his delivery stride.
Apparently the umpires agreed the run out was illegal and the umpire revoked his decision. The confusion continued as Norrebro considered the match over and would not play. The umpires filed a report on the match as no-result including a serious break of discipline by the Norrebro bowler.
The Danish league Panel have consider the case. A written hearing was implemented. The bowler's end umpire changed his stance saying the the bowlers action was legal. With a situation of two umpires disagreeing and both teams disagreeing the Panel decided that a situation of status quo existed and therefore the match ended as a tie. For the serious breach of ICC code including threatening the umpire Norrebro's Javeed Taqueer was given a 11 match suspension.
KB's chairman John Moller has been reported saying that the Panel's decision will be appealed to the DCF's judicial committee.
