Namibia are again to take part in South Africa's second tier domestic competitions. They will play in Pool B of both the one day and three day competitions, hoping to improve on their performance last season which saw them only just miss out on the final stages of both tournaments.

They are not the only national side in the event, as a Zimbabwean side is also set to feature. The three-day match between the two will be Namibia's first first-class match against an ICC full member, assuming of course that Zimbabwe still are an ICC member when the match happens!

The tournament consists of less games than last year, as teams only play each other once, as opposed to twice last year. In addition, Namibia arguably have a tougher pool than last year, with none of last years newcomers in.
