"Not good enough" was the comment Svanholm's chairman Soren Nissen fired off after this last weekend's matches in the Danish Elitedivision, where the three leading sides all won by massive margins. The comment was aimed at the difference between the sides being extraordinary large leading to poor matches.

Svanholm played Saturday against Husum who were without their star batsman Gerrit Müuler who decided that German regional football was more important. He was missed as Husum were skittled out fore a measly 85 after Svanholm had piled on the runs hitting 345 for 5. Svanholm's Australien Shaun Gannon was for the first time amongst the runs scoring 133. Husum had to face fellow bottom side Norrebro on the Sunday and to this match they had transported Gerrit Müller to Copenhagen but eventhough he was their topscorer it was not enough against Norrebro who now are out of danger. Gerrit scored 31 out of Husums 115 and Husum had Norrebro in trouble at 62 for 6 as brother Hauke Müller took 5 wickets but it was not enough as Jaffar Butt and Tahir Siddique batted Norrebro out of trouble. Husum are now bottom with Esbjerg.

Glostrup faced AB (The Achedemicals) and batted first and were heading for a modest total at 100 for 5 but Rasmus Kofoed with 67 got Glostrup to 256 for 7. This was too much for AB especially with Henrik Hansen still on song after playing against Bermuda. He ripped through the AB batting taking 5 for 14 and AB were skittled for 57.

Herning were visited by KB and Herning's Troels Thøgersen again took advantage of Herning's smallish ground clocking 78 in quick time in Hernings 202. KB didn't have a good day as they crumbled to Hernings pace attack and could only manage 93. KB travelled on the Sunday to Esbjerg where they expected to beat the bottom side with only one victory to their name but it turned out different. KB had clocked up a decent score of 192 thanks largely to Hammad Khan's 82 not out but Esbjerg back in a strong formation rallied batting and in a team affect passed KB's score losing 6 wickets.

Svanholm look certain to win the Championship this year and they don't look like losing to Glostrup their nearest competitor in the last match. Glostrup are looking to take silver while Herning have their hands on the bronze medals. The only excitement at the moment is if there is any change in the bottom.

In the first dvisison the two undefeated sides Skanderborg and Albertslund met in the first of two encounters. Skanderborg were just that bit better as Albertslund couldn't field their best team. Skanderborg won easily and are now hot favorites to return to the Elitedivision after just one season.
