Youngster Alex Obanda advanced from a personal score of 30 runs on his ODI debut in the first game to score 85 runs on Saturday to help Kenya to a 4 wicket win over Canada. Collins Obuya provided the main middle-order support as Kenya won with almost 7 overs to spare. Obanad and C. Obuya added 80 runs for the 5th wicket. The better Canadian bowling again came from Umar Bhatti, skipper Sunil Dhaniram and the returning Qaiser Ali (offspin), who each seem to have bowled tidily.

Almost a rotation of who got some runs at the top of the Canadian batting order from the previous match. Mohammad Iqbal made 30 runs, Trevin Bastiampillai top-scored with 49 runs before being run-out. Arvind Kandappah (28 runs), Ali (15 runs), Bhatti (22 runs as overs ran down) and skipper Dhaniram made 13, getting out as partners seemed to have run out. Kenyan Steve Tikolo took 4 wickets for 41 runs in 10 overs. He and Jimmy Kamade seemingly stuck to their game plan and plugged away. The Kenyan seamers have tidy bowling figures, Odhiambo taking 3 for 32 in 7.1 overs gaining pride of place in mopping up at the end.

So a farily consistently selected team that has been playing various 20/20 matches and a series with India A, that help player development, beat a Canadian side with no discernable selection policy or ongoing relationship between players and 'leading' administrators.
