We have only been notified of 4 results so far. In the two matches played at Nairobi Jaffery, Kanbis A beat Aga Khan while Nairobi Gymkhana accounted for the hosts. Thanks to umpire Subhash Modi for the following reports:
In the morning's Group 1 match Kanbis A beat Aga Khan by 67 runs.
Kanbis batted first and scored 152 for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs thanks mainly to Jadavji Jessani(58), Captain Arvind Halai (33 not out) and Nilesh Jessani 31. Moez Popatia(1/31) and Brijal Patel(1/31) were the successful bowlers for Aga Khan Sports Club.
Aga Khan were bowled out for 85 runs in 19 overs. Brijal Patel (36) and Michael Kibe(14) were the top scorers.
In the afternoon, Nairobi Gymkhana beat Nairobi Jaffreys by 4 wickets in their Group 3 encounter.
Nairobi Jaffreys batted first and scored 90 for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs.
Charles Obuya (23) and former Kenya Cricket Captain Aasif Karim(20) and Mujahid Amirali (19) batted well for the home team. Darshit Shah bowled well for his 3 wickets for 6 runs in four overs and he was well supported by Paras (1/13).
Nairobi Gymkhana had to struggle to get the required runs against the tight bowling of Aasif Karim(1/9 in 4 overs) and Tahseen Amirali (2/17) and Abbas Kalyan (1/22).
Nairobi Gymkhana managed to score 91 for the loss of six wickets thanks to Ashok (32) and Harpreet Singh (17).
At Ngara it was mixed fortunes for Nairobi Institute with their a team clinching a tight 2 wicket win over their hosts in group 3, while their B team lost to Oshwal in Group 4.
In the morning's match, Institute A won the toss and elected to field. Tight bowling restricted Ngara to 102 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their allocated 20 overs, Kalpesh Patel top scoring with 16. Naran Kerai was the pick of Institute's bowlers taking 3-13 and he was ably backed up by Anvay Suthar (3/27) and Quresh Bhaijee (2/15).
In reply, Institute A scored 105 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 19.3overs with Khuzema Bhaijee holding firm to steer his side to a tight victory in the final over with a well compiled 39*. Quresh Bhaijee (13) completed a solid all round performance while Ngara's bowling was lead by Kalpesh Patel (3/12), Hiren Patel (3/17) and Rajan Patel (2/15).
The afternoon game saw Oshwal score 139 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allocated 20 overs after winning the toss and electing to bat. All rounder Josphat Irungu lead the way with an unbeaten 31 with Bhupen Shah (21) and Jay Nagada (18) both getting starts. Abdalla Akme was the pick of the Institute bowling attack taking 2/17.
Institute B chased valiantly, but in the end fell short due to tight bowling from Pradeep Patel (2/11) , Rahul Sumaria (2/18) and Josphat Irungu (2/15) who restricted their score to 117 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their 20 overs, Ritesh Pamnani (26) and Mitesh Goswami (16*) the top scorers.
