The NCU have agreed that the weekend 2/3 August will be closed dates in the NCU due to the staging of the ICC Twenty20 World Cup Qualifying matches at Stormont.

All of the Division 1 fixtures scheduled for the weekend have  been moved to the bank holiday on Monday 25 August.  The fixtures for these dates in Divisions 2 and 3 are to be rescheduled.

The final of the NCU’s premier Cup competition, the TCH Down Democrat Challenge Cup 2008 has also been moved - to Friday 15th August. It was originally to be played on the 1 August -  the day before the three-day Twenty20 tournament at Stormont.


Metal Technology Twenty20 Cup
The group matches for this cup are to be played on Sunday 22nd June.

Woodvale take the final place in the 12-team tournament as a replacement for Lurgan who do not wish to play on Sundays.

Group A: Bangor, North Down & Downpatrick
Group B:  Waringstown, Lisburn & Woodvale
Group C: Carrick, Derriaghy & Cliftonville
Group D : CSNI, CIYMS & Instonians

The venues for the group matches are to be confirmed.

The Finals Day will take place on Sunday July 6th 2008 at Shaw’s Bridge, Belfast
