Saltires star Fraser Watts has picked-up his third Super Sixes winners medal after his money men struck gold in Scotland's most prestigious indoor tournament.
Watts put together a Bank of Scotland Corporate select to compete in the annual indoor competition at the National Academy after realising a clutch of cricket stars were employed by the financial institution.
And, after coming through a tough group which included his own Carlton team, Watts played his part on finals night as the bankers cashed-in with victories over Heriot's and Freuchie.
The opening batsman was able to call on the services of fellow Saltires players Gregor Maiden and Dewald Nel in a formidable line-up which also included Nick Peat of Grange and Carlton spinner Alan McLeod.
All of them played their part throughout an impressive campaign though the Bank relied on a superior run-rate to progress from their group after all three teams finished level on points.
In a one-sided semi-final against Heriot's, Watts put his team firmly on course with a top score of 39no while Maiden contributed 36 in a total of 154-4 before the Goldenacre side were restricted to 112-4, thanks largely to some wily bowling from McLeod who took 2-18.
If anything the Bank select were even more impressive in the final, never giving Freuchie a sniff of regaining the trophy they won two years ago.
The Fifers were first restricted to 110-4, despite the efforts of Scott Birrell (33no) and Scott Gourlay (29no), and then powerless as Watts, this time supported by Nel, showed his indoor expertise.
Both batsmen accumulated their runs - 27 and 26 respectively - without fuss as the Bank reached their target in the final over without having lost a wicket.
All of it left Watts delighted with his makeshift side and hungry for more indoor action.
He said: "I've been lucky enough to win this tournament twice with Carlton and it's brilliant to complete the hat-trick.
"I don't know why so many cricketers have ended up working for the Bank but I thought it was worth entering a side and I always had a feeling we could go all the way.
"It would be brilliant if the tournament could be expanded into a league lasting the whole winter, because all the players love it and it's a great way to stay sharp."
