After a short stay at our hotel in Jo'burg we were again on the move. Everyone got a good full breakfast in them, which was very important with another flight ahead. After quite bit of hanging around - and some of the boys going for a healthy option with a Wimpy burger - it was time to fly again, this time to our final destination Port Elizabeth.
The flight was not too bad, wth a lot of the boys getting some much-needed sleep. Those who were awake had some plane food which, in the words of yesterday's reporter, was 'bogging'! After landing, the boys all got a severe shock to the system as it was incredibly hot!
Everyone got their bags and we were then picked up and made our way to our accommodation, which we would only be staying in for one night. The place we were taken to was a very nice area with lots of little houses overlooking the Indian Ocean. These small houses were our rooms, with two U20s sharing a room with two U15s.
After a short look around our accommodation, we were taken to the Aberdare youth academy cricket ground for a bit of training and getting used the conditions. The outfield was very bobbly and sandy, but we all dealt with it pretty well. I even took a hit on the cheekbone trying to stop one!
During the practice, the batters got a chance to feel bat on ball and the bowlers got a chance to turn their arm over.
After training, we had a quick change and were taken out to the Spur steak house for our dinner. The food was very nice and probably cost a quarter of what it would back home! On our way home, it began to rain and the winds were howling, so lets hope this doesn't stop us from playing tomorrow.
The next report of our tour will be out tomorrow.
