Whether there were any positives to take from this series
I think one of the positives is that the World Cup in 2011 will be played in this part of the world and it was good that we got a view of what the conditions are like here and what we have to make sure that we prepare for. We have qualifiers in Dubai next year and after that it will be time to prepare. So we know now what it is like down here and what we have to do, both from the weather, from the types of wickets and from the way how people are going to play against you down here. There are a lot of things we can take back and we'll try to work hard for the next couple of years.
He was here as Zimbabwe coach in 2005 and back again in Bangladesh as Ireland's coach in 2008. What he sees different in this Bangladesh team
I'll tell you what I have seen. I have seen a very improved team. They always had batsmen who played their shots. They are learning now how to put partnerships together but I'll tell that the most improvement I have seen is in the fielding. I think the fielding was exceptional especially today and in all the games which means there has been improvement.
Whether it is time to stop criticizing Bangladesh when they lose against better opposition
I also think that people should stop knocking them and try helping them to improve and that'll improve world cricket. The more teams we have up there contesting with the big teams the better. I have definitely seen improvement since I had been here last.

On the transformation of the team after their defeats against South Africa
I think they clicked this week. Definitely they had tough time against South Africa. The boys went from facing bowling from 145km to 135-125km. That's a massive difference. But having done the hard grind against South Africa, I think they were ready to make amends and put some runs on the board. I just think they tried harder and applied themselves to the task and team plan and made sure they got partnerships. They played the shots when the ball was there. They let go, defended and pushed at the good balls. I think it was a bit of a high for the boys to face bowlers who weren't that fast and a team that was not that good.
Whether it was good to play against teams like Ireland more
I think we should play an even number. I think it's not good for any side to just play against the best teams in the world or teams that are way better than us at this stage when we are developing and when the young players are learning. But we definitely gained experience against South Africa and New Zealand and understood how much better we have to become to be competitive. This series shows where we are at. Probably we are a bit better than Ireland on our pitches and I think teams like West Indies and Zimbabwe are our next targets. We should play more games against those types of teams while we are learning. It's much better for our boys to learn where their confidence can grow and not just be shattered all the time. So a bit of a mix of both would be great.
On opener Zunaed Siddique missing out in this series
He would definitely stay within our group. We have changed a few things with his batting over the last week and a half and it is going along beautifully. So he is just waiting on these two (Tamim and Nafees) to slip up and do something wrong or fail so he can jump in on the spot. Aftab is the same. Zunaed probably can bat anywhere in the top four and he and Nazim are putting a lot of pressure on the top four to keep going well and keep working hard and that's really good thing for us to have someone of his ability just sitting there and waiting for his chance. But he is working really hard and looking fantastic. It is good to have three guys who can fit into his spot rather than none.

Whether more matches should be arranged against weaker sides to gain confidence
The coach had just said that we should play against all kinds of teams. We have now played series against Sri Lanka, New Zealand, South Africa and Ireland on the trot. Next mission is in Pakistan. I think all the players are more confident now especially after some good performances in this series. It is beneficial to play against different types of opposition.
Whether this was a revenge series for the World Cup loss to Ireland
Different feelings. The defeat was in the World Cup and here we have whitewashed them in a series.
If he felt Bangladesh missed out giving the other players a go after securing the series rather than sticking to the same eleven in the three matches
We are trying to play our best eleven players. Everyone has performed more or less in this series so we stuck with the same combination. We have good back up also like Zunaed. We all know that there is someone waiting in the wings if those who are getting the chance don't perform.

What went through his mind during the innings
I knew that the way I was batting I could go on and get a big score if I stuck around till 40-45 overs. I had that confidence in me going into this match. I must say Shahriar (Nafees) helped me a lot in this series on and off the field and today I am particularly thankful to him for guiding me and offering me tips while we put on that partnership of 109. I always welcome suggestions and guidance from teammates and Ashraful and the others all help me a lot.
His apparent reluctance to celebrate after crossing 50 today
I have made big scores in domestic and league games but in the international arena my highest before today was 82 and I got have out just after crossing 50 a few times. So today I was determined to make a substantial contribution and was more focused on getting to 80-90 at least if not a hundred. It is not the same scoring runs in domestic cricket and scoring in international cricket. I wanted to get that feeling of making big runs in an international match.
Shahriar Nafees
His feelings on scoring three consecutive 50s and becoming the top-scorer in the series with 204 runs in three matches
It is a good feeling as I was not making runs in ODIs.
On what clicked for Tamim and himself in this series after putting on partnerships of 25, 94 and 109
I have been opening with him for the last year and a half almost but we were not putting partnerships. We felt there was something missing and that's why we spent a lot of time together off the field. We discussed and tried to identify the reasons for our failure and developed better understanding. We bonded well and that showed in our opening stands in this series.
What he said to Tamim during their partnership today
Just the usual really. I guess I am a little bit more experienced than him at this level and have played a few big innings. I just passed on my knowledge about how to go about building a long innings. He was superb today and I feel honoured that he listened to me. I am confident that we will share more partnerships like this in the future.
Whether he feels comfortable with his batting order
When I was in the Under 19 team our coach Richard McInnes used to say that the first six in the batting line should be able to bat at any position. I have opened mostly in ODIs but in the Test matches I have opened and now playing at number three. I feel comfortable where I am batting and try not to think too much about it.
