Having just returned from their Intercontinental Cup fixtures against Namibia and the UAE, the Dutch national squad will set about preparing for the busy summer ahead with two warm-up matches against English Minor Counties side Norfolk later this week.
The A team will take on the visitors at VOC’s Rotterdam ground on Thursday, while the full side will provide the opposition at ACC in Amstelveen on Saturday.
Thursday’s fixture will give national coach Peter Drinnen a closer look at some of the players on the fringe of first-team selection, including those who were in the party for Windhoek and Sharjah but did not get a game.
Peter Borren, vice-captain of the full side, will lead the A team on Thursday.
Norfolk will provide a solid test for the Dutch squad, having finished second in the Western Division of the Minor Counties championship last season.
The A side for the match on Thursday is: Peter Borren (VRA Amsterdam, captain), Atse Buurman (Voorburg), Tom de Grooth (HCC), Tim Gruijters (Quick Haag), Maarten van Ierschot (VOC Rotterdam), Maurits Jonkman (HCC), Somesh Kohli, Geert Maarten Mol (both Quick Haag), Mangesh Panchal, Adeel Raja (both VRA Amsterdam), Jelte Schoonheim (VOC Rotterdam), and Lesley Stokkers (Quick Haag).
