Pakistan Under 15's bowled out Ireland for 99 runs then cantered to victory before the end of 21 overs at Kensington Oval, Barbados on Sunday (April 20). Pakistan now faces Bangladesh in the CLICO International Under-15 Knockout competition at Cayon, St Kitts on Tuesday.

Pakistan's opening bowlers kept the scoring rate under control and each took an early wicket, before Ireland rallied from 2 wickets for 1 run to 43 runs for 3 wickets. The third wicket was the first to fall to a trio of spinners, including Usman Qadir, son of the famous Pakistani leg-spinner Abdul Qadir. H. Mays, 13 runs, and S. Getkate, 23, had teamed up for the 3rd wicket stand, but only top scorer Jason van der Merve, who made 25 runs, provided much resistance with the bat after that stand.

Mirzan Ahsan Jamil, a left-arm wrist spinner, took 3 wickets for 6 runs in 7.3 overs and was later named Man-of-the-Match. Leg-spinner Qadir took 3 wickets for 22 runs in 10 overs and orthodox left-arm spinner Zafar Gohar took 2 wickets for 12 runs in 9 overs.

Mohammed Naeem and captain Mohammad Babar kept Pakistan on the path to victory with an opening stand of 50 runs. Naeem made 34 runs, Babar 20 runs. Ahshan Ali with 27 runs not out and Ahsen Abbasi, 15 runs not out, saw Pakistan home in the 21st over. Ireland's Getake opened the bowling and took 1 wicket for 22 runs from 7 overs and J. Coghlan took the other Pakistani wicket at a cost of 12 runs from 3 overs.
