Ireland Under 15's have recorded their first win in the Caribbean after they beat a SE Trinidad Under 17 side by 71 runs.

Shane Getkate top scored with 61 from 79 balls as Ireland scored 211. He was given good support by Ben Wylie (34), skipper Hugh MacDonnell (24), and George Dockrell (20).

Vikash Ramersad (3-21), Kerwyn Sirju (3-33) and Dylan Seerattan (2-31) were best with the ball for Trinidad.

In reply Trinidad struggled after losing early wickets, Graeme Mc Carter (2-34), Shane Getkate (2-26). They  rallied thanks to Rixon Mannarine (36) and Kerwyn Sirju (24) who shared a 67 run partnership, but a fine spell of 3-11 in 8 overs from George Dockrell ended any hopes of a victory for them.

Terron London (24*) was their other contributor of note as they were bowled out tfor 140 in 33.2 overs.

The other wicket takers for Ireland were Jonathan Andrews (1-17), Eoghan Conway (1-22), and Ben Wylie (1-27).

Ireland's next games are back to back fixtures at the weekend, when they face Kenya and the West Indies.
