The Northern Cricket Union of Ireland announced on April 29th 2008 that Cliftonville Cricket Club had contacted them regarding their home fixtures in 2008 season. Cliftonville informed the NCU that they would not envisage being in a position to play home fixtures at Greenisland in the 2008 season. They intend to contact clubs in the Premier league to ask if they would be able to use their grounds for Cliftonville ‘home’ games.
They also informed the Union that for 2nd and 3rd XI games they would be using primarily council owned pitches for home fixtures.
The NCU Board would like to announce that they have no objections in Cliftonville contacting clubs to ask them if they could host their ‘home’ matches in the Ulster Bank Premier league.
