Match of the Day
UDDINGSTON v FERGUSLIE
Uddingston hit the ground running as Ed Cowan's century set up an impressive opening day win over Poloc. However, skipper Ricky Bawa expects a tougher test against today's opponents. He said: "Ferguslie are always there or thereabouts so we'll get a better idea about our own prospects after today's game. But confidence is certainly high after last week's win." Bawa is able to drop himself down the order to make way for returning opener Scott Dalgleish. John Donnelly also comes into the side while Josh Johnston and Scott McKenzie drop out.
Ferguslie are without Majid Haq who is preparing for his final accountancy exams and Greig Cameron who has work commitments. The Paisley club are also still denied the services of David Harper who is at the centre of an eligibility probe by SNCL bosses. Skipper Stuart Murray declared: "Our final selection is a bit fluid at the moment but whoever takes the field will be ready for a real tough test. Uddingston will be in good spirits after last week and we'll need to be at our best."
Prediction: Uddingston to flourish.

CLYDESDALE v CARLTON
Two potential title challengers square up in what should be an entertaining clash at Titwood. Carlton looked good in disposing of Ayr last week but are without their century star Fraser Watts who is heading south to skipper the Saltires against Derbyshire tomorrow. However, captain Cedric English believes his side can cope. He said: "We challenged last season while Fraser was still with Greenock so we'll look on it as a bonus when he is available. Everyone at the club is delighted that he is getting the chance to captain his country. The squad has decent depth about it this season." Peter Swan replaces Watts while Dale are at full strength following Qasim Sheikh's surprise omission from the Saltires squad.
Prediction: Carlton in a close one.

GRANGE v AYR
Grange, aiming to build on last week's win at Watsonians, have drafted in leg-spinner Keith Meakin for Saltires batsman Neil McCallum in an otherwise unchanged line-up. It is an indication of the Raeburn Place club's batting riches that Stuart Davidson, who was scheduled to bat at number nine last week, is promoted one place in the order. Ayr are tipped to face a relegation battle this season but Grange skipper Sanjay Patel insisted: "They will win their fair share of games and there's no way we will under-estimate them. It only takes a couple of guys to get in and you can be up against it." The visitors are not expected to make many changes from the side which lost to Carlton last Saturday.
Prediction: Grange with ease.

HERIOT'S v WATSONIANS
Heriot's are among the sides yet to take their bow for the season following last week's call-off at Clydesdale. The Goldenacre side will unveil Aussie duo Cameron Farrell and Jack Ritchie while Scotland U19 star Bil Azhar is set to claim the keeper's gloves from skipper Gavin McIntyre. James Easton skippers the Myerside men in the absence of Gordon Drummond who is on Saltires duty. The visitors may stick with the youthful opening pairing of Euan Chalmers and Ryan Flannigan who are both named in the starting eleven though a change of batting order is under consideration.
Prediction: Derby honours for 'Sonians.

POLOC v GREENOCK
Poloc recovered from their mauling at the hands of Ed Cowan last Saturday to put their first points on the board with victory against Scotland U19s the following day. Now the Shawholm side are aiming to build on that success. Professional Gavin Ewing has been installed as captain in place of Brian Spence but Poloc still await the arrival of their overseas amateur Jason Dombroski. All-rounder Mohsin Ali replaces Sandun Jayaratne in the only change to the starting eleven. Greenock are without Saltires duo Craig Wright and Dewald Nel but Richie Berrington has been cleared to play before travelling to Derby after the match. Berrington will skipper the side in Wright's absence while David Brown and Sami Singh are drafted in. Poloc spokesman Keith Young said: "Greenock will be formidable opponents even without their Scotland players."
Prediction: Champions to get going.

Sunday
FERGUSLIE v SCOTLAND U19
Young seamer Greig Cameron returns for Ferguslie after missing today's visit to Uddingston. Meanwhile Willie Morton takes charge of the youngsters in the absence of head coach Craig Wright as the national U19s aim to bounce back from last week's heavy defeat at Poloc. Freddy Coleman is struggling with a shoulder injury and looks unlikely to play. Wright said: "Last week's defeat showed exactly why these boys need to be playing at this level. Getting exposure to tough situations and learning how to deal with them is what this is all about."
Prediction: Another lesson for the kids.
