Bob Kerr Irish Senior Cup DrawThe draw has been made today for the second round of the Bob Kerr Irish Senior Cup, and there are some mouth watering ties down for decision on June 14.

South African Test legend Allan Donald, the current bowling coach of Warwickshire, and Mrs Hope Kerr, wife of the late Irish Cricket Charman and President Bob Kerr, made the draw betwen innings at the Ireland v Warwickshire Friends Provident Trophy match at Stormont.

The full draw is as follows:

  • North Down v Limavady
  • Donemana v CYM
  • Instonians v Leinster
  • Rush v Clontarf
  • North County v Brigade
  • Bready v The Hills
  • Merrion v YMCA
  • Strabane v Waringstown

Chairman of Cricket, Joe Doherty said of the draw, "I don't think I've ever seen a draw with so many plum ties in it - North Down v Limavady, North Down v Brigade and Rush v Clontarf stand out for me. Strabane v Waringstown and Merrion v YMCA look appetising as well."

"North West and NCU will be pleased that they have no local derbies within their own jurisdictions, It would be a brave punter who would predict the quarter final line-up with any confidence. All we need now is a bit of decent weather and we're in for a feast of cricket."

"Thanks to Allan Donald and Hope Kerr for their illustrious presence at the draw - we were delighted that both went out of their way to be there for the occasion."
