The death has been announced of John Wright, President of the Irish Cricket Union in 1997 and Hon Secretary of the Irish Cricket Union from I997 until stepping down at the AGM earlier this year. A full obituary appears on the CricketEurope website.

John worked closely with the Northern Cricket Union on many cricket matters over the years and was a personal friend of many people in our own Union.

The NCU requests that clubs hold a period of silence on Saturday 28 June prior to 1st XI matches and other matches as you consider appropriate.
