Section 1

19 July
Ballymena v Lurgan

Two teams in joint second place. Lurgan will have to bounce back from two consecutive defeats and Ballymena from losing to Waringstown. If the weather is anything to go by, a bowlers paradise.

Ballymena win

Derriaghy v Instonians
Derriaghy, coming off an away defeat to Waringstown on the Bank Holiday will fancy their chances against bottom of the table Inst. Two wins adrift, Inst will be targeting Derriaghy as one team they must defeat to claw their way back into the league.

Derriaghy win

Waringstown v Lisburn
Waringstown defeated by Bangor, bounced back with a convincing 5 wicket defeat of Derriaghy. Lisburn, slumped with Inst at the bottom of the league will not relish this task. Stokes and Morrison could prove decisive in the bowling stakes.

Waringstown win

20 July
Woodvale v Bangor
Woodvale and Bangor are only one win apart and the Shankill boys will fancy taking the Seasiders as the Bangor form book shows a lack of confidence away from Ward Park.

Woodvale win

SECTION TWO

19 July
Carrickfergus v Cliftonville
Cliftonville have managed to drag themselves into contention, largely on the back of Cahill and McCully. Carrick are having a successful season and sit proudly in second place. Away form sadly means little to Cliftonville, even so.

Carrick Win

Cooke Collegians v Laurelvale
No game due to Laurelvale’s cup commitments. Laurelvale to win their semi final.

Holywood v CSNI
This is a very quick return fixture for these teams, with CSNI defeating Holywood at Stormont on the 14th. The Civil Service boys are in a great run of form, while the Holywood team has suffered three defeats in a row. Unless one of Maxwell, Nicholl or Purcell comes off with the bat, I think CSNI have too much.

CSNI win

Muckamore v Downpatrick
No match due to Muckamore’s cup commitments.

20 July
Downpatrick v CSNI

Downpatrick’s season is a bit like the Curate’s Egg- good in parts. CSNI are heading for promotion. Still, Strangford Road has been doing the home team no favours this year and I can see another CSNI win.

CSNI win

Larne v Muckamore
Two cup semi finalists the day before. I predict that whoever won the cup match will lose this league game. On current form,

Larne in the Cup, Muckamore in the league.

19 July
Cregagh v Academy
Cregagh top the league and have only one defeat. Academy look to be a good side.

Cregagh win

Donaghadee v Donacloney
No form guide here, Donacloney won the reverse fixture.

Donaghadee win

Dungannon v Templepatrick
Templepatrick won at Millpark recently and Dungannon have struggled.

Templepatrick win

Saintfield v Dunmurry
Saintfield look to have the willingness and strength to go up.

Saintfield win

Victoria v Ards
Ards should have enough here.

Ards win

20 July
Ards v Millpark
I can see Ards having a good weekend.  Ards win
