Slick Scotland last night completed their demolition job on Canada to
record their second innings triumph in quick succession.

In the wake of hammering Bermuda, the Scots stepped up the momentum to
keep alive their slim hopes of reaching the Intercontinental Cup Final.

And they surged to glory in Toronto by an innings and 165 runs after
the outclassed Canadians were shot out for 130.

The hosts had begun the third day on 36 for two, and any prospect of a
fightback was ruled out when Dewald Nel struck a further double blow.

And later it was Ross Lyons who mopped up the middle order and tail
with four scalps.

Having added only six to their overnight total, Canada lost skipper
Qaiser Ali and Arvind Kandappah on the same score.

First, Nel found the edge of Ali's bat and the chance looked destined
to be wasted as keeper Dougie Lockhart could only parry it.

But the alert Neil McCallum pounced to complete the catch at second
slip.

Then Kandappah chased a wider delivery and could only direct it
straight into the hands of Gordon Drummond.

Spinner Ross Lyons joined the attack and had quick success by having
Abdool Samad smartly stumped by man of the match Dougie Lockhart.

And fellow tweaker Majid Haq was next to get in on the act, removing
Sunil Dhaniram.

The rout continued as Lyons struck again to get rid of the stubborn
Sandeep Jyoti for 43 with the score on 102.

He took his haul to three by accounting for Elon Katchay - and it
became a question of whether Canada could survive until lunch.

They did by the skin of their teeth and if was left to Haq and Lyons
to complete the job with more than a day and a half to spare.
