Waringstown Primary School beat
The finals of the Northern Ireland Regional competition were held on Tuesday 24th June.
The finalists’ consisted of the winners from 16 Kwik cricket festivals held throughout Northern Ireland over the previous two months and completed a spring/summer coaching programme for the NICA Development Officers Brian Allen and Ryan Eagleson.
Both officers have been coaching cricket in schools from the start of the school year with both indoor and outdoor sessions. The results showed on the pitch as the standard of batting and fielding were of an impeccable standard. Over the 10 week period lead to the finals both development officers coached in over 40 schools across the province.
We would like to thank the following clubs for hosting a Kwik Cricket Festival:
North Down CC, Carrickfergus CC, Saintfield CC, Waringstown CC, Lurgan CC, Ards CC, Strabane CC, Eglington CC, Coleraine CC, Enniskillen CC, CSNI CC, Larne CC, Templepatrick CC, Lisburn CC.
Next year it is hoped that we can continue to develop cricket at grass roots level with our partner ASDA and have even more clubs involved in holding festivals.
