NCU CUP FINALS

TCH Down Democrat Challenge Cup Final - CSNI    v  Waringstown
The Committee noted a report from Downpatrick regarding the saturated state of the ground. It was agreed that club and NCU Officials together with an umpire should inspect the ground on Wednesday.
It was agreed that if the final had to be postponed the new date would be the reserve date, 22 August.

Junior Cup Final sponsored by Goldblatt McGuigan - Academy  v  Templepatrick
It was hoped the Final will take place on Saturday at Osborne Park.
If a postponement is necessary the match will move to Saintfield CC on 23 August.

Intermediate Cup Final - Laurelvale II  v  Muckamore II
It was hoped the Final will take place at Pollock Park, Lurgan on Saturday.
Laurelvale CC have also agreed to attempt to prepare a wicket in the event of Pollock Park being unfit.
If play is impossible at either venue the trophy will be shared.

Lindsay (Minor) Cup sponsored by Cleaver Black - Waringstown III  v  Waringstown IV
It was hoped the Final will take place at the Lawn, Waringstown on Saturday.
If a postponement is necessary the match will move to 23 August with Waringstown providing the venue.

After two postponements the trophy will be shared.

Minor Qualifying Cup sponsored by Flannigan,Edmonds and Bannon - Ballymena IV  v  Laurelvale III
With the agreement of both teams the final has been transferred to Ballymena on Saturday.
If the reserve date is necessary it will be 23 August at Ballymena.

After two postponements the trophy will be shared.

Metal Technology Twenty20 Cup
It is hoped this will take place at Shaw’s Bridge on Sunday August 17.
Arrangements have been made for reduced over matches in the event of inclement weather or only one pitch being available.

The committee have brought the Intermediate Cup into Union bye-law (o) which now reads:
‘Matches in Division3 and in the Intermediate, Lindsay (Minor) and Minor Qualifying Cups may be played on non-turf pitches provided that the visiting team is informed at least 48 hours in advance.’

The Northern Cricket Union is grateful to host and participating clubs and school and not least sponsors for their efforts, patience and flexibility at this difficult time brought about the extremely wet weather.
