Waringstown Cricket Club Under 11’s easily beat Lisburn by 62 runs to win the NCU Quoile Cup for the first time. Batting first Waringstown posted an impressive 97 for 2 in their 20 overs with the impressive Adam Dennison not out 50 and Craig Kennedy chipping in with a useful 19. As the pitch at Wallace Park was very slow and with a low bounce due to the inclement weather this was a more than useful total by the Waringstown batters whose running between the wickets was excellent.

In the field Waringstown's’ bowlers got to work and soon reduced Lisburn to 35 all out with Matthew Hurst and Adam Dennison each collecting 3 wickets in a very disciplined bowling display. They were well supported by Ben Carson, Craig Kennedy, Peter Morgan and Stuart Harrison who each picked up 1 wicket each in an impressive fielding and bowling display by the Villagers.

A delighted Waringstown Captain James Mitchell picked up the trophy from NCU President Ian Gourley and now move on to play the Cup winners in the North West Union, Donemana in the Northern Ireland Final on Thursday 28 August starting at 5 pm at the Lawn. The winner of that game will then play North County in the All Ireland Final in Dublin.
