DIVISION TWO WEEKEND 13/14 SEPTEMBER

With the weather being the most predictable thing of all, with rearrangements galore and league tables that may not accurately reflect the state of play I can say with no shadow of a doubt that the end of this season will be a relief for this tipster. However, a final rash spate of previews and predictions for Titles and Relegation

Section One

Title – Waringstown
Relegated – Inst and CIYMS

Section Two

Title – CSNI
Promoted – Carrick
Relegated – Laurelvale and Cooke Collegians

Section Three

Title – Saintfield
Promoted – Cregagh

SECTION ONE

13 September

Bangor v Instonians
Bangor are safe. Inst are staring at 2:2 and need 3 wins and results to go their way. Can’t see it.

BANGOR WIN

CIYMS v Lurgan
Who knows what Lurgan will do? Batting this season is as unpredictable as the weather.  CIYMS desperately need this win to distance themselves from Lisburn.
CI will be more determined.

CIYMS WIN

Lisburn v North Down
Tough fixture now for Lisburn. North Down have finished the season strongly, and while they may have left it too late for the title, will still push all the way. Lisburn face the reality of needing another win from somewhere to even catch up with CIYMS.

NORTH DOWN WIN

Woodvale v Ballymena
Nothing much to play for here but pride. Still no easy games at Woodvale so expect no quarter asked or given.

WOODVALE WIN

SECTION TWO

13 September

Armagh v Cliftonville
Armagh need this win desperately, Cliftonville can relax, so motivationally Armagh have the edge. Will tension and call ups dent the home side’s chances?

ARMAGH WIN

Cooke Collegians v Holywood
Cooke Collegians are as desperate as Armagh. Holywood too need a reassuring win. Pressure on both sides here means an interesting fixture.

HOLYWOOD WIN

Laurelvale v Muckamore
The cup final that never was. Laurelvale may feel they have a point to prove here and send out a well motivated team. Muckamore can still dream of promotion. Another match with edge to it.

MUCKAMORE WIN

SECTION THREE

13 September

Dungannon v Portadown
Bottom of the table and with no ground, Dungannon will relish season’s end. Portadown might just fancy another win?

PORTADOWN WIN

Saintfield v Academy
Unbeaten Saintfield host Academy. A win here would all but guarantee Saintfield Promotion. Can’t see any other result.

SAINTFIELD WIN
