HERE’s an early Christmas gift idea - and a great opportunity for Scottish cricket fans to get some of their festive shopping done while they can still afford it!
What’s on offer are prints of Edinburgh artist Alasdair Stroyan’s watercolour of the historic first official One-Day International between Scotland and England, which was played on August 18 this year at the Citylets Grange ground in the capital.
The game was, of course, drawn, after England’s innings was halted by the rain after just 15 balls. The painting shows Stuart Broad bowling to Gavin Hamilton early in Scotland’s innings; the non-striking batsman is Colin Smith.
The price of a print is £75, and all inquiries should be addressed direct to Alasdair Stroyan on 07816 374 555 or info@alasdairstroyanarts.com
